Wednesday Blogosphere Roving #8

World MapThis Wednesday's found images have a seasonal theme, and that season is Spring! (Okay, Thomas Laupstad's excellent photo of the Aurora Borealis over northern Norway is more wintery -- but just barely.)

This week's blog articles area very eclectic mix, but all worth taking the time to read: a scientist's thoughtful -- and thought-provoking -- views on laboratory animals; another of Matt Keegan's viewpoint articles about the use of Entrecard as a tool for blog promotion; Sheila's confessions of a formerly fearful snorkeler; Karen's food shopping adventures in several American cities; and Mike's exquisitely realistic piece about getting out of bed when you're old. (Note to Mike, who is in his forties: You ain't seen nothin' yet!)

So, without further ado, here's my list for the week.

You're very welcome. I've been quite taken with your series of hiking photos, but the one I linked to was truly outstanding.

Hi Bobbie,

Thanks for the link to my article on animal research. I'm glad that you though enough of it to recommend it to other people!

All the best,

Chris

Chris - Yours was perhaps the best single article on the subject that I have ever come across, and it is particularly well-written, too. Kudos to you.

Well.....WOW! How have I missed yet another one of your great blogs? I don't know how you manage so many well written blogs! That's a talent, for sure.

Thank you so much for making mention of my article. I really do want to help encourage people who are afraid to snorkel for silly reasons that it's not as hard and scary as they think.

Hi Sheila -

What's great about your "Chicken of the Sea" snorkeling article is that people who have not always lived around the ocean, and who may be a bit intimidated by that big body of water and all that's in it, can identify with what you wrote. They can benefit from your approach to trying snorkeling for the first time.

You know I love your Go Visit Hawaii blog. You do a consistently fine job of presenting Hawaii to the world. It may be targeted to visitors, but it's no wonder that we Hawaii residents enjoy your blog, too.

Ha! Found your latest work. Thank you for the link and the blog looks fabulous -- just the way I like to "scratch out" notes too. I wish you every success.

Hi Matt -

Hope the links to your interesting articles about using Entrecard bring some well-deserved traffic to your blog, The Article Writer.
